My story
I’m Kristin. I’m a UX and Product Designer based in Texas.
I first became aware of the importance of good UX while teaching remotely during Covid. I had the tremendous task of quickly transitioning “traditional” teaching materials into digital while simultaneously keeping the needs of my students, my users, in mind.
I finally took the jump and decided to officially transition into UX and have loved every minute of it. The farther down the UX rabbit hole I went, the more I realized I’ve been doing it all along during my years working in education.
Since then, I’ve been a self-employed product designer while taking on separate UX research and UX designer opportunities. My life experience has given me a design thinking mindset, skills to simplify information, the ability to empathize with others, and the courage to advocate for people’s needs. My absolute favorite stage of a project is sitting down with users and having honest conversations about their needs.
Between working and co-leading the Houston chapter of Friends of Figma, I’m searching for a full time position where I can grow and learn alongside a great team.
